Every year I’ve been with Breakthrough has just been more and more rewarding, especially with the 12th graders and helping them get into colleges. One of my mentees actually applied Early Decision to one of the other Claremont colleges and that was because I talked to her about the school and she fell in love with it. I was able to provide that insider perspective.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Breakthrough New York requires all employees and ongoing-volunteers with in-person role responsibilities to be “up to date” with their COVID-19 vaccinations prior to the start of their in-person role. “Up to date” entails receiving a full vaccine course and at least one booster shot if eligible. Specific deadlines and details will be communicated directly to candidates during the interview process. Candidates in need of an exemption from this policy due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief must submit a request for accommodation as soon as possible after an offer has been made.
