Meet the 2026 BTNY TEAM TCS Marathon Runners

2026 New York Road Runners TCS New York City Marathon

We are thrilled to announce that Breakthrough New York has been selected as an official Charity Partner for the 2026 New York Road Runners TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 1, 2026!

For over 25 years, Breakthrough New York has partnered with talented students from low-income communities on their journey to and through college. Through our rigorous 10-year program, students receive academic enrichment, individualized advising, and long-term mentorship that powers them to and through college.

When you run with Team BTNY, you are not simply crossing a finish line — you are helping students access the high-quality schools, guidance, and support systems they deserve.

Your 26.2 miles power futures.

“After running the 2025 Boston Marathon in support of the Walker School, a nonprofit organization also focused on educational equity, I’m excited to once again dedicate this race to helping students unlock greater opportunities and brighter futures. BTNY’s long-term, hands-on approach ensures students don’t just get to college: they have the support to thrive once they’re there and after they graduate.”

“I’m running for BTNY because I believe financial strain should never stand in the way of a student’s potential. BTNY provides the long-term, hands-on support bright students need to not only get into their dream schools but to succeed and thrive through graduation. It’s a mission that resonates deeply with me, and I’m honored to support their work.”

“Running the New York City Marathon is my way of giving back to a community that has inspired me and continues to change lives every day. Every mile I run and every dollar raised helps ensure that BTNY scholars have the resources they need to achieve their goals.”

“This November, I’ll be running the TCS New York City Marathon to raise funds for Breakthrough New York. Having served on the Board of Directors for more than three years, I’ve seen firsthand the impact the organization has on students and families.”
